Crayon Box card

Hello everyone! It's Lisa here with another card to share with you. For today's project I was inspired by a card made by the awesome Chari Moss. She created a beautiful crayon box using Lawn Fawn's "Shadow Box Card" die. You can see her project here

Since I don't have the specific die she used, I used Lawn Fawn's "Scalloped Box Card Pop-Up" die and modified it.

I started by die cutting the Lawn Fawn "Scalloped Box Card Pop-Up" twice from yellow card stock. I trimmed the top flaps from the box and left only the bottom part to assemble the box.

Out of one of the panels I traced a line using Lawn Fawn's "Stitched Hillside Borders" and cut it out with my scissors.

Since I was die cutting, I also die cut 2 inserts for the inside of my box.

The crayons I stamped from Lawn Fawn's "Color My World" stamp set with black archival ink from Ranger. I colored them with Prismacolor pencils and Gamsol

I adhered the crayons to the box inserts using Lawn Fawn liquid glue.

Then I used Lawn Fawn's "1/4 inch Double-sided tape" to adhere the inserts to the box card. This double sided tape is very strong and holds very well. It's also acid-free and heat-resistant.

I assembled the box card by scoring along the score lines that the die creates and added a green panel to the back of the card.

To create the lines on the front of the card, I cut out some strips out of 2 tones of green card stock and traced some lines on the yellow panel to know more or less where to place my pieces of green card stock.

Once I adhered the strips, this is how it looks:

I needed something for the focal point of the card, so I decided to add the age of the recipient of the card. She's turning 34, so I used Lawn Fawn's "Finley's 123s"

To the back panel, I added a Happy Birthday sentiment from Lawn Fawn and I heat embossed it with Ranger white embossing powder.

I added some green panels to the sides of the box card using the stitched rectangles included in the Lawn Fawn's "Scalloped Box Card Pop-Up". I heat embossed the sentiments from Lawn Fawn's "Tiny Tag Sayings Birthday" with Ranger white embossing powder.

I hope you enjoyed today's project. Thank you for joining me today and if you have any questions or comments, please write them below!
