Lawn Fawnatics Challenge 3

Hello there!

Today I'm sharing a card I made for my brother and sister-in-law who are expecting a baby real soon. I also submitted this card for Lawn Fawnatics Challenge #3 called Outstanding Occasions. The challenge is to make a card about a special occasion such as anniversaries, weddings, new babies or graduations.

Here's a look at the card I made:
(Baby Card Front)

To create this card, I first cut a piece of Neenah white 110 lb. cardstock with Lawn Fawn's "Stitched Rectangle" dies. Then I embossed that piece with the "Pinwheels" embossing folder by Sizzix.

I then die cut a piece of green cardstock with Lawn Fawn's "Grassy Border" die and then with the "Stitched Rectangle" dies to give it a continuous stitched look. I then heat embossed the sentiment with Ranger's white embossing powder. I adhered the grass to the white panel.

I then stamped a baby mobile from Lawn Fawn's "Plus One" stamp set and colored it with ZIG Clean Color Real Brush Markers. I put some Spectrum Noir clear shimmer pen over the moon and stars and then cover them in Glossy Accents. I set them aside to dry.

I adhered the white panel to some yellow patterned paper using some fun foam to add some dimension. After it was dry, I glued the baby mobile with some foam tape to add a little more dimension. To finish the card front, I adhered everything to a top folding 5.5" x 4.25" white card base.

On the inside of the card I cut a circle out of some purple glitter paper and adhered it to the center. Then I stamped and colored a stork from the "Plus One" stamp set and adhered it. I also die cut a congratulations sentiment from Spellbinders' "Sentiments One" dies and adhered it to the circle.

Well, I hope you enjoyed my card for today. See you again next time!

  3. Love the embossing on the white flat card here - I have embossing folders, but always forget to use them. This is a great idea!
